Jewelry Care Instructions
Caring for Your Hermind Jewelry
Each Hermind piece is crafted with intention — designed to be worn, cherished, and passed on. With the right care, your jewelry will retain its beauty for years to come.
Daily Care
- Remove your jewelry before bathing, showering, or washing your hands
- Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, and skincare products — apply these first and allow them to dry before wearing your pieces
- Remove jewelry before swimming, exercising, or sleeping
- Gently wipe each piece with a soft, dry cloth after wearing
Storage
- Store your pieces individually in your Hermind dust bag to prevent scratching
- Keep jewelry away from direct sunlight, humidity, and extreme temperatures
- Avoid storing multiple pieces together — chains and delicate settings can tangle or scratch
Gold-Plated Pieces
Our gold-plated jewelry is finished with a high-quality layer of gold over a base metal. To preserve the plating:
- Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and chemicals, including hand creams and cleaning products
- Apply a thin layer of clear nail varnish to the inner band of rings to extend wear life
- Rotate your pieces to allow them occasional rest
925 Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a timeless, durable metal that may develop a natural patina over time. To keep it bright:
- Polish gently with a soft silver cloth
- Store in an airtight pouch or anti-tarnish bag when not in use
- Avoid exposure to chlorine, bleach, and sulfur-based products
A Note on Skin Sensitivity
Gold and rose gold plating naturally contains trace amounts of copper, which contributes to the warmth of the metal tone. In rare cases, individuals with highly acidic skin or sensitivity to copper may notice slight oxidisation — this is a natural characteristic found across all levels of jewelry, including fine and luxury pieces.
If you have experienced metal sensitivity before, our 925 Sterling Silver collection may be the most comfortable choice for you. We recommend consulting with a dermatologist if you have known metal allergies.
Treat your Hermind pieces with care, and they will continue to tell your story beautifully. ♡
